In this book Authors highlight that there appears to be no single mathematical model or theory that can describe every aspect of the universe. Instead they put their focus on the model dependent realism or/and network of theories which is called M-Theory. Each theory within M-Theory network is good at describing phenomena within a certain range.
If you are just starting out with the physics this book would be a great insight to you as it covers quite a few laws and explains them quite well.
Some of the aspects covered in this book included:
Multiverse, M-Theory, Laws of Physics and how these were interpreted throughout the history, Realism, Model-Dependent Realism, Buckyballs Experiment, Feynman Paths, Feynman Diagrams, X-Rays, Microwaves, Force Fields, Time Dilation, Geodesics, QED (Quantum Electro Dynamics), Balloon Universe, Space Warp, The Microwave Background, Goldilocks Zone, Planet Orbits, Triple Alpha Process, The Game of Life.
